2011 Fair!
SATURDAY
NOVEMBER 5th, 2011
9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
at the Historic Marks House
Pike Road, Alabama
Come for the shopping or come for the food! Delicious pulled pork BBQ sandwiches, homemade chicken salad and pimento cheese sandwiches and fried chicken will keep you from getting hungry while you shop. Enjoy homemade goodies from the Sweet Shop inside the Marks House – more cakes, pies, candy, cookies and treats than you’d find at Grandma’s house at Christmas. And don’t forget to pick up a dozen melt-in-your-mouth Mocha Cakes - Pike Road’s signature bite size sweet treat. This year there will be a special Mocha Nut Cake booth separate from the Sweet Shop. There are also special activities for the children too – face painting, a tour of the Pike Road Fire Department’s Mobile Fire Safety House and free “make and take” crafts will be provided by Home Depot.
This year, Becky Collier with the Alabama 4-H Youth Development Center will be presenting conservation education shows featuring live birds of prey. Owls, hawks, and falcons will entertain and educate audiences of all ages.
