Pike Road Civic & Community Club’s
50th Annual Arts & Crafts Fair

We invite you to exhibit at Pike Road’s 50th Annual Arts and Crafts Fair. We are proud to present Pike Road’s 2016 Arts & Crafts Fair featuring arts, crafts, handmade items, toys, plants, antiques & furniture. This Fair is family oriented and advertised by TV, radio, flyers, newspapers, magazines, Facebook and Pinterest.

The Pike Road Arts & Crafts Fair is one of the oldest craft fairs in Alabama. 

 

FESTIVAL RULES & REGULATIONS:

  • No personal pets are allowed.
  • No generators are allowed inside fenced yard.
  • No propane or kerosene heaters are allowed. No electricity is available.
  • You may not sell food or drinks from your booth.
  • Vendors must be present in their booths 9-4 the day of the show.
  • Two people may sell at a booth. Additional sales personnel will be charged a $3 Admission.
  • All sales personnel must wear name tags.
  • Booth boundaries are defined with orange paint. Stay within the boundaries. No Exceptions.
  • No vehicles inside fenced sales area on Saturday from 8-4.
  • No independent distributors


SET UP:

  • Vendors are strongly encouraged to set up on Friday, Nov. 4 from 10 AM until 8 PM.
  • RV’S, motor homes, vehicles with trailers and large trucks must set up on Friday from 10 to 8.
  • Only cars, mini-vans and pickup trucks will be allowed in the gate to set up on Saturday morning from 5:30-8:00 AM. THIS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED.
  • Vendors should unload vehicle, move vehicle to park and then return to set up items. Space between rows is limited.
  • Only one vehicle per space is allowed for set up purposes in the exhibit area.


SALES TAX & BUSINESS LICENSES:

  • We will provide you with sales tax & business license information in a follow up vendor packet.
  • Vendors are responsible for collection and payment of sales tax which is 6.5%.
  • Vendors are responsible for obtaining county business licenses.
  • Purchase the business license after Oct. 1, 2016. A license purchased before Oct. 1 will expire before the show on Nov. 1st.


PARKING/CAMPING & SECURITY

  • Parking passes will be furnished and must be displayed on the dash of your vehicle. Vehicles must park in designated area.
  • Overnight parking is allowed in the exhibitor parking area.
  • Security is provided Friday Night/Nov 4.


COST FOR SPACE:

  • $50 fee for each regular space (12’ x 10’).
  • $100 fee for Tailgate spaces (12’ x 20’). Limited number of tailgate spaces around perimeter of the yard and most tailgate spaces do not have parking behind the space.


RETURNING VENDORS:

We will assign the place where you will exhibit. If you were in the Fair last year, you may request the same space if you return the application before September 1, 2016.

If you want to change locations or you are new to the Fair, we will do our best to place you where you choose.


CLEAN UP:

Do not leave garbage on the ground, especially plastic ties. Vendors that leave their area with trash will not be invited back. Dumpsters are available. Please use them.


DAMAGE:

The Pike Road Community and Civic Club will assume no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to items exhibited.


APPLICATION PROCESS:

Our show has always been a “first come, first served” show. In the interest of maintaining a quality show, the committee reserves the right to limit the number of exhibitors in each category.


EXHIBITOR FEES:

Fees can be paid by personal check if submitted with the application and postmarked by October 15, 2016. After October 15, 2016 application fees can only be paid by certified check, money order or cash. There is a $30 returned check fee.


WEATHER:

The Fair has only been cancelled due to rain four times in 49 years. If the Fair has to be cancelled due to rain, your money will not be refunded. This is due to incurred costs associated with preparing for and setting up for the Fair.


REFUNDS:

Exhibitor fees cannot be refunded for cancellation by Exhibitor or Sponsor.
